The event is organised as part of the ongoing CCS4CEE project in which Bellona Europa is engaged as an expert partner.

The conference will bring together CCS stakeholders from Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, representing a wide range of activities across the CCS value chain in the region. This includes industry representatives, relevant national authorities in the region, EU officials, as well as civil society and academia.

The purpose of the conference is to update regional actors on EU-level CCS policy developments and foster communication and cooperation among interested parties. We will also showcase emerging pilot CCS projects in the CEE region.

We are excited to have confirmed speakers presenting CCS projects by ANRAV, Holcim (Hrvatska) d.o.o., and AB Klaipėdos nafta.

In addition to projects presentations, the programme of the conference includes three sessions:

  • Session 1: A Necessity, not an Option – CCS in EU and Member States’ Net-zero Strategies
  • Session 2: Leveraging Stakeholder Platforms and Networks for Partnerships and Knowledge Sharing
  • Session 3: Safeguarding Industries, Empowering Communities: CCS in a Just Transition.

These sessions will feature speakers from Bellona Europa, CCS Europe, European Commission (DG CLIMA and DG ENER), Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU, and the Zero Emissions Platform.
